Your experience is worthy of hearing and understanding. I am a graduate intern completing my hours in becoming a licensed professional counselor, and offer three specific skills.
1. With extensive experience working with men who struggle with unwanted sexual behavior, I facilitate identifying emotional response patterns of behavior that may come from histories of shame that lead to sexually addictive behavior. I incorporate Bowen Systems theory with personal narrative to help men decrease their sexual addiction and establish new patterns of flourishing behavior.
2. I am also adept at working with persons with disabilities. As a former behavioral technician, I worked with children and adults with neurodivergent conditions, primarily Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I am competent in understanding functions of behavior and counseling toward your desired habits.
3. Upon request, I can easily incorporate Christian faith and understanding into our clinical work. I am well versed in Catholic doctrine and can integrate as you request.
I welcome working with people across the lifespan, including children, teens, couples, and families, as well as working with those experiencing anxiety, shame. I am taking clients at our South location.
